The story of Skog

The story of Skog started when our founder Pontus Grönvall stood in a grocery store, and realized he couldn't buy a single food-item without toxins. It made him laugh. He was literally in a food store, and couldn't buy any food. What a strange world!

That's when he started experimenting, trying to figure out how we could eat great food that's delicious, but yet unprocessed and wholesome.

Eventually he started to buy, roast, and grind cacao beans.

Then came the breakthrough: cacao beans sweetened with dates.

Premium organic cacao beans and nutrient-rich dates. Nothing more. Nothing less. It was a moment of awe.

The cacao bean and the date seemed to really be the perfect match! It creates a cacao drink that's delicious, silky, thick, and nutritious.

Pontus took to the streets of Paris and started working with notable cafés in the growing specialty coffee scene. With their critical feedback he started learning the trade and refined every single batch to truly make something great for everyone.
